It's Christmas Eve, and Jim and his mother are making pirate gingerbread men to leave as a snack for Santa. 

Jim makes a captain - complete with a gingerbread cutlass and a toothpick for a peg leg -  and names him Captain Cookie.

Later that night, when Jim is fast asleep, Captain Cookie sets off on a daring adventure to find his pirate crew and rescue them from a mysterious character named Santa Claus.
