550 piece jigsaw puzzle measures 18 inches by 24 inches.  Made in USA.

Blackbeard was the nickname of Edward Teach, a notorious English pirate who had a short reign of terror in the Caribbean Sea between 1716 and 1718.

Blackbeard often fought with multiple swords, knives and pistols.  He was notorious for wearing hemp and lighted matches woven into his long black beard during battle.  This image made him appear demonic and struck fear into his opponents.

Blackbeard acquired a fearsome reputation for cruelty after repeatedly preying on ships and coastal settlements of the Atlantic coast.

On November 21, 1718, a fleet of ships under the command of Lieutenant Robert Maynard, bested the pirate on the coast of Ocracoke Island.  Blackbeard was reportedly shot five times and stabbed more than twenty times before he died.

Lt. Maynard placed Blackbeards decapitated head as a trophy on the bowsprit of his ship.  Now this wonderful peice in history is encapsulated in a 550 piece jigsaw puzzle.
